The City of Seal Beach secured this grant funding and has been successfully operating this program for the past 15 years.The current program primarily consists of three components: the Senior Nutrition program, Shopping Shuttle, and the Dial-A-Ride program.A copy of the operating schedule can be viewed here.The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is a multi-modal transportation agency serving Orange County.Seniors participate in daily planned programming activities such as exercise and dance classes, arts and crafts, table games, billiards and day trip excursions.The centers host various guests who perform and entertain or speak about medical, financial, and consumer issues important to seniors.

The shuttle runs to the Shops at Rossmoor and the Seal Beach Regency Center.

OCTA began in 1991 with the consolidation of seven separate transportation agencies. The Senior Lunch Program is open to all adults age 60 . Guests under 60 can enjoy lunch for a fee of .00.

By increasing efficiency and eliminating duplicate functions, county taxpayers save millions of dollars. The Board consists of five county supervisors, 10 city members, two public members, and the Director of the Department of Transportation District 12 (Caltrans) as a non-voting member. Any donation, no matter how large or small, is always greatly appreciated and accepted although no individual will be turned away due to inability to donate. The City is pleased to offer free assistance for low-income seniors in preparing State and Federal income tax returns.

These services also assist the families of seniors with their caregiving duties.

Gwinnett County's Senior Services are open to all Gwinnett residents ages 60 and older.
